All I have right now is a post I made before:

The source for folding hands in Salat

What is reported about The Prophet Muhammad saws?

"He used to place the right arm on the back of his left palm, wrist and forearm"
-Abu Dawood, Nasaa'i, & Ibn Khuzaimah (1/54/2) with a sahih isnaad and Ibn Hibbaan declared it sahih

This is a preferred act of the prayer, there are twenty hadith from eighteen companions and their followers on this point.

Sahih Bukhari Volume 1, Book 12, Number 707 (or 740):

    Narrated Sahl bin Sa'd:

The people were ordered to place the right hand on the left forearm in the prayer. Abu Hazim said, "I knew that the order was from the Prophet ."

This hadith is also related by Ahmad and Malik in his al-muwatta.

There is also a hadith from Jabir which says, "The Prophet, upon whom be peace, passed by a man prayinh with his left hand over his right and the prophet pulled them away and put his right over his left." This is related by Ahmad and others. Nawawi says, "Its chain is sahih".

    The recitation of Bismillah

The bismillah is part of al-fatiha and as such, all Imaams hold it obligatory to be recited whether loud or silent.

The majority of scholars believe that the Prophet saws recited it silently.

This is related by Bukhari, Muslim, Ahmad and others.

    From Muslim
    Book 004, Number 0786:

Anas reported: I observed prayer along with the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) and with Abu Bakr, Umar and Uthman (may Allah be pleased with all of them), but I never heard any one of them reciting Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Rahim loudly.
    Book 004, Number 0787:

Shu'ba reported it with the same chain of transmitters. with she addition of these words:" I said to Qatada: Did you hear it from Anas? He replied in the affir- mative and added: We had inquired of him about it."
    Book 004, Number 0788:

'Abda reported: 'Umar b. al-Khattab used to recite loudly these words: Subhanak Allahumma wa bi hamdika wa tabarakasmuka wa ta'ala jadduka wa la ilaha ghairuka [Glory to Thee,0 Allah, and Thine is the Praise, and Blessed is Thy Name. and Exalted is Thy Majesty. and there is no other object of worship beside Thee]. Qatada informed in writing that Anas b. Malik had narrated to him: I observed prayer behind the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) and Abu Bakr and Umar and 'Uthman. They started (loud recitation) with: AI-hamdu lillahi Rabb al-'Alamin [All Praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds] and did not recite Bismillah ir- Rahman-ir-Rahim (loudly) at the beginning of the recitation or at the end of it.
    Book 004, Number 0789:

It is reported on the authority of Abu Talha that he had heard Anas b. Malik narrating this.

The evidence for softly is stronger, but some are of the opinoon that loudly is fine as well. I believe Ibn Hanbal.
If that doesn't help, try fiqh us-Sunnah.

    Raising the Hands
He would raise his hands sometimes with the takbeer,66 sometimes after the takbeer,67 and sometimes before it.68
"He would raise them with fingers apart [not spaced out, nor together]",69 and "he would put them level with his shoulders"70, although occasionally, "he would raise them until they were level with [the tops of] his ears."71

    referance
    66- Bukhaari & Nasaa'i.
    67-ibid.
    68-Bukhaari & Abu Daawood
69-Abu Daawood, Ibn Khuzaimah (1/62/2, 64/1), Tammaam & Haakim who declared it saheeh and Dhahabi agreed
    70-Bukhaari & Nasaa'i.
    71-Bukhaari & Abu Daawood.

The aameen, and the Imaam's saying it Loudly
When he (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) finished reciting al- Faatihah, he would say:

    ("aameen") loudly, prolonging his voice.149
He also used to order the congregation to say aameen: When the imaam says,

"Not of those who receive (Your) anger, nor of those who go astray", then say "aameen" [for the angels say "aameen" and the imaam says aameen"] (in another narration: when the imaam says "aameen" say "aameen"), so he whose aameen coincides with the aameen of the angels (in another narration: when one of you says "aameen" in prayer and the angels in the sky say "aameen", and they coincide), his past sins are forgiven.150 In another hadeeth: ... then say aameen; Allaah will answer you.151
He also used to say: The Jews do not envy you over anything as much as they envy you over the salutation and aameen [behind the imaam].152

    Salaam All,

Thanks for your help brothers. Here is a good link for it:
    http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/law/fiqh...h/fus1_10.html

I want to highlight a few:

Abu Hurairah said, "When the Messenger of Allah, upon whom be peace, would recite, '...Not with those with whom You are displeased and not of those who have gone astray,' he would say, 'ameen such that those close to him could hear him." (Related by Abu Dawud.) Ibn Majah's version is, "Until the people in the first row would hear him, and the mosque would ring with the sound." Al-Hakim also relates this hadith, and says that it is sahih according to the criterion of al-Bukhari and Muslim. Al-Baihaqi calls it hassan sahih. Ad-Daraqutni considers it as hassan.

Reported Ibn 'Umar, "When the Prophet, upon whom be peace, stood to pray, he would raise his hands until they were the same height as his shoulders and then he would make the takbir. When he wanted to bow, he would again raise his hands in a similar fashion. When he raised his head from the bowing, he did the same and said, 'Allah hears him who praises Him.' (Related by al-Bukhari, Muslim and al-Baihaqi.)

Yet we see many mosques were the imaam nor the people performing the prayer behind the imaam, proclaiming the 'ameen' loudly nor raising the hands. And the mosques that do, are termed 'wahhabi' mosques, dont go to that mosque! This really irrates me and makes me angry! This is the sunnah, and the authentic proof is there! Yet if you go these mosques, and show them the evidence, 'ah you are a wahhabi! Get out of our sunni mosque!' This is disgraceful!

Lol, yes i know. In fact, i used to carry with me a sheet of paper, which had on it hadith regarding the lifting of the hands and saying ameen out loudly, in unity. And every blind follower who used to question me (mainly the muqallids) i would just show it to them, and tell them "look here is proof that my beloved Prophet did it. That's enough for me." I think i shud start doing that again.

Brother the situation is if not worse these days, fitnah is rife and attacking the mu'mineen in every way. These days if you argue with a sunni for example, and tell them about raising the hands and saying amee, they will not only label you a 'wahhabi', but probaly attack you!

    Salaam Hash.

What are u worrying about? Be calm and gentle (and i say this more to myself than anyone else: da'wah is always to ourselves above anyone else) and patient. Have taqwa and hope in Allah, and dont allow yourself to be provoked. If you know that you are right, then dont let it get to your head, like a lot of over zealous youngsters of the salafis, running around calling people who differ from them "kaffirs". This is a major problem with our da'wah, we have let our "righteousness" get to our heads, and we cant allow that. And i say this not to the salafis, i say it to everyone who professes to be in the Muslim ummah. May Allah soften our hearts, and sweeten our tongues.
