There is another cartoon in the attachment with this. I donno how to put it in the body of the message. This one is also in Q news this month. I'm hoping to get published with them regularly insha Allah.
Cartooning is really the Cinderella of the arts.. but as a Muslim I see its role as bringing the message that Muslims are human too, and fallible, and we have a sense of humour, and some of the ideas others have about us are ridiculous... I think sometimes we allow ourselves to be put on a pedestal, as a group. But this is dangerous, because being on a pedestal makes you an easy target... I think we should resist becoming 'the other', because that is the beginning of a process of dehumanisation - and we all know where that can lead.
