oops, I meant: I'm tired of people who despise people opening up their mouths to talk about what's wrong with everyone else.
Why can't people just give peace and goodwill a chance?
Why do we have to go about, in the words of Rilke, laying ourselves so heavily upon everything:
All things want to float. And yet we act like burdens,
lay down on everything, thrilled with our weight;
what draining teachers we are for the things,
who are happy with eternal childhood.
If one took them into heartfelt sleep and slept
deeply with things - oh he'd get light as air,
changed for a changed day, from the common depth.
Or perhaps he'd stay. And they would bloom and praise
him, the convert, who looks like one of theirs,
all silent sisters in the meadow breeze.
I'M SORRY, but I like people and am interested in them. Now, as for the Prophet, Muhammed (pbuh) HOW CAN ANYONE NOT be taken in by his charming godliness? I find the man amazing and wonder what sort of character structure would find it desirable to malign him or his good name.
I guess the real problem is that there are far too many people with big mouths that really don't like people. Magnanimity, quite simply, is in no way part of their being.
“No man is a true believer unless he desires for his brother what he desires for himself.”
All men are brothers.
