Finality of Prophethood
A question -
(Perhaps already answered in the main page)
The finality of the Prophethood of Muhammad (peace be upon him) is something that I take as a belief coming out of the clear statements of the Quran. A *sign* ( apart from the statements of the Noble Quran and the Prophet) to strengthen that faith is -
1 the attempts by the Prophet to reach out to as many people in the world as possible with whatevr means he had
2 the state of development of mankind - with established trade routes linking different regoins of the world.
But as I said, the above to me are *signs* that can only add to previously exisitng faith already in a person's heart.
The question is, what if one were to keep the claim of finality of Prophethood as a criterion to actually disqualify someone as a Prophet. Is there anything that's available to counter that stand?
