Salaam
Thank you for a wonderful sight. I'm learning a lot and look forward to communicating with you all the best I can. My interest in the Islam faith has been "sparked" by a man I truly love and is Muslim. Born and raised Catholic, I really want to learn what he believes and support him 100%.
Salaam,
Welcome to the forum, o' metallic lady. I hope your stay will be a pleasant and enlightening one.
As for me, I once upon a time, in a galaxy far, far away, more or less stumbled upon this site, and I have enjoyed my stay ever since. Hopefully you'll be able to acquire some insight into the religion of islam and the fascinating culture that surrounds it. Welcome.

Hi,
Have another go, must have timed out.
I am Mike, new to Islam, not reverted fully yet.
I accept Allah as the one God, and his prophet, I have so much else to learn, and change in my thinking yet to say much else.
I have been on unmoderated forums, but didn't like those so called Christians before being interested in Islam. My father (earthly) would never have given grief like those sods, he was worthy of being called a Christian.
May peace be with you
I am honoured to meet you K-one. Someone must have a lot of courage to rethink their entire belief system. May God reward you.
You are an honoured friend here.
Hello Everyone
My name is Boyd. I was born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan till i was 9 years old then we moved to Toronto, Canada. I am a christian because my parents made me one as a kid but now as i grow older i see my beliefs are close to the ones of muslims. I am not a muslim yet but i do believe that Their is only one Almight Creator. The thing that comfuses me is that i believe that Jesus exists but i dont believe that he is the son of the Lord but rather a messenger speaking the Lords words so im not sure where i am. I guess im here searching for belonging and i hope i find it here. Anyways nice to meet everyone and i hope i will get a chance to post to everyones questions/statements.
Peace Warbird,
That's what Muslims believe also.i believe that Jesus exists but i dont believe that he is the son of the Lord but rather a messenger speaking the Lords words...

I have nearly always thought some of the core items I find in Islam, like the oneness of God, the humanity of Jesus.
It didn't take as much as you might think as all the anti-catholic polemic I was taught as a child, works equally as well against the protestants.
With so few Jews and Muslims here the scapegoats for the religious right was always the "Micky Doolans". (Irish Catholics).
As soon as you can see through one prejudice, it becomes easier to recognise another.
Peace
Crikey, where are my manners..? Welcome to the forum, K-One. You wouldn't happen to be an advocate for our canine friends, would you? Just a thought concerning yer bewildering nick. Y'know, K-9 and such...![]()

I like it here, not too rude.

P.S. Warbird
It's hard to stay a Christian, and believe in the ONENESS of God, isn't it.?

Peace K-One,
Unitarian christians believe in a non-trinitarian God, and have almost exactly the same view of Jesus(pbuh) as muslims. They believe Jesus(pbuh) was a wise prophet of God, and not God's physical child, as they believe in one undivided God. Further, they do not believe the Immaculate Conception, nor the Resurrection. Some also hold the Prophet(pbuh) in very high esteem. When comparing other religions and beliefs, unitarian christianity is about as close as you can get to islam. What people usually refer to as 'christianity' is the niccean version of the dogma. That version is not the end-all and be-all christian point of view.
