    Smile Quranic quotes

    Assalamu'alaikum brothers.

I've realized that so far in my life i've not been a very good Muslim; lying time and time again, angering my parents, breaking my fast secretly during ramadhan :devilcry: ... but i want to repent and seek Allah's forgiveness. Please, my brothers, offer me some quotes from the Quran or Hadith, or even wise sayings, that i can improve myself and relate them to my everyday life. Thanx, peace be to all.
Life is unfair. Allah's Judgement is not.

You're rite newsX. I've been tested on my patience these few weeks, loads of times. But what kept me from imploding was how prophets like Job, Jesus and Muhammad PBUT were tested to their limits by Allah, yet they submitted and sacrificed for the Almighty.

Submission entails peace. Peace entails stability of heart and mind. Stability entails joy. Joy entails certainty. Certainty entails submission.

If you mean that your classmates have been testing your patience, then I hope that you simply focus on your studies. The classroom is a place of study. In Singapore, especially, study is of paramount importance since the Malay community has always lagged behind academically and economically.

Why sacrifice your precious time in useless arguments- study, develop yourself; when you're out in the workforce, contribute energetically to the Muslim community; ensure the next generation of Muslims have a stable future in your country. Encourage salat, zakat, the fast, tolerance among the different jemm'ah.

Have you not heard that the basic unit of the global umma is really the family? If each family is strong, the umma is strong.

    Hope you're not offended...

PS: I encourage you to get this book:

Moderation in Islam in the Context of Muslim Community in Singapore

    http://www.selectbooks.com.sg/titles/35999.htm

It's a singaporean publication, I think. I skimmed through it several months ago and was impressed by it.
