Lightbulb The Qur'an: A Mercy and a Healing

"And We sent down of the Qur'an that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe…" --al Quran, surah Al-Israa, 17:82.

Allah Swt has put shifa (cure), in the Qur'an, so if any of you are sick or not feeling well read surah Fatiha seven times and blow on yourself, or let someone do it for you.

For protection from all kinds of harmful things, recite Ayatul Kursi morning and evening, and the last three surahs, three times each, and blow on yourself, and your children. In that way we get divine protection, and also have tawakkul - trust, in Allah's message; insha'allah.

The last two verses of Surah Baqarah has also great benefits, we should make practise of it. Read it before going to sleep. It offers good protection from all kinds of harms.

Its all too easy to start off reading something but the ideal is to practise it consistently. I hope and pray that I will adhere to these beneficial and sunnah prescriptions insha'allah, keep me in your duas.

There is something very special about the last two verses of Surah Baqarah.

It was revealed to Rasulullah Sallallahu alaihi wasallam above the seventh heaven on the occasion of Mi'raj, so it has a special significance.

I would urge you to make it a habit of reciting these verses before going to sleep, the merits are great.

In it there is healing for men’s hearts, light and illumination for the blind. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And We send down of the Qur’aan that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe (in Islamic Monotheism and act on it), and it increases the Zaalimoon (polytheists and wrongdoers) nothing but loss”

    [al-Isra’ 17:82]
