Is there a way to get personal Islamic loan

I know someone who is in dire need of money in US and out of job, but might get a job later. Is it possible to get Islamic personal loan (without interest). I know banks won't give it but amount is not that much.

If somebody can help PM me please. Don't have to give money but if there is a place to take out a small personal loan, let me know please. Thanks.

This is what zakat is for. And unfortunately, zakat is by-and-large a dead institution among the vast majority of Muslims. He should contact his local mosque and talk to people who know him personally and can verify his situation.

Well said and this reminds me of Fazlur Rahman's hyperbolic but sincere quote that the Muslim umma is not even in existence
