I've come to my own personal truth and the thing is: it's not about me or you or what makes us feel cozy inside, it's about human beings and society as a whole. Rules and laws are in place because, although we are free to do mostly as we please, we can only go so far with our freedoms until we start interfering with others freedoms. People can't do whatever they want just because they want and it makes them happy in the moment. God knows all things and the reasons why. And if He placed certain laws and rules in place its for a reason, a good reason...society as a whole has a very "me-me" mind set - "I can do what I want because I want to" and noone can tell them what's right or wrong not even God. That's sad. It's not so bad to fear consequences for your actions. Anyways, God knows what's in your heart no matter what you do or what you preach.
