^I don't believe you are African, but that is just your latest persona in a long line of trolling personas. But it does not matter - your posts are too similar to another American Christian poster for me to believe it is a coincidence.

Your reasoning (like most troll arguments) if fundamentally flawed. Where Christians, Muslims, Buddhists etc choose to live is a matter of choice or an accident of birth. What religion people choose is similarly either a choice or a factor of birth-right. The religion of the poltiicians in the country you were born in or choose to live, or the economic circumstances are one factor some may choose to look at. But there are ex-pats in China, Dubai, Europe, America, Asia etc etc who are working in a foreign land and perhaps in countries with different religious majorities than what they follow.

If you are attributing the past economic success of America with Christianity, will you also attribute the decline of Greece, Italy, Ireland etc also to Christianity? Right now, Malaysia is pretty much a better place to be than Ireland - economically speaking. Can we say Islam is superior than Catholicism based on this point?

The honest thing to do if you want to compare religions is to compare like with like - compare religious teaching with religious teaching.

    Cheers,

In the spirit of debate, I welcome serious debate and everyone knows that . I cannot stomach this type of baloney however that is mere harrassment of muslims by a truly twisted person.

    African, really?

Hahahhaha. First time in my life that I've ever witnessed a person admit that they are "African". And that is coming from a person who has worked with people from just about every country "down there" and who sports a husband who went to high school there in Monrovia to be specific (as we tend to refer to people from "Africa" by citing the various national affiliations they enjoy).

Luckily I won't be quizzing our theoretical African person who I imagine thinks that being from "Africa" is about the most opposite-est thing from being a white bigot that he (or she) could come up with at a moments notice having been caught with his (or her) bigot pants down.

If I only had a nickel for every bigot who assumed that because I was a muslim I must also be from some other race and most likely an Arab. I'd probably have enough for a whole tank of gas! (Probably two or three tanks in Saudi though!)

Now my question is: Is not the arab world descendants of Ishmael the slave womans child. Of them God said I will make a great multitude like the stars in the sky. Though is was the descendants of Isaac that God made his covenant with. So if God's old covenant is with the descendants of Isaac, what covenant are the Muslims under. Are you not simply a gentile like me?
Sorry, I am not at all a gentile like you.. We believe in a Just God who does not discriminate based on race or colour (probably you do not know that there are more non-Arab Muslims than Arabs). Though yes, we are under a covenant to act righteously and be rewarded for the same - as for your "old" (sic) covenant well the Quran has this to say :

Children of Israel, remember the favours I have bestowed upon you, and fulfil the covenant that you made with Me. I shall fulfil the covenant I made with you. Fear Me alone. And believe in the message I have sent down which fulfils that which you already possess and do not be foremost among those who deny its truth. Do not sell My revelations for a paltry price; fear Me alone.(2:40-41)
Nine things the Lord has commanded me: Fear of God in private and in public; Justness, whether in anger or in calmness; Moderation in both poverty and affluence; That I should join hands with those who break away from me; And give to those who deprive me; And forgive those who wrong me; And that my silence should be meditation; And my words remembrance of God; And my vision keen observation.- Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)

Now, if Truth were actually interested in a debate comparing and contrasting Islamic and Christian teachings

We could start with a list of Muslim and Christian nations which grant equal rights to believers and unbelievers.

Next, I would want to compare teachings of mainstream Christian denominations (Protestant, Catholic, Orthodox) to Sunni and Shia - the criteria would be teachings deemed "reactionary". It would be subjective, but I think it would be easy to agree most world bodies, nations and people would view death for apostasy as a reactionary teaching. Do you agree? So, that would be our criteria for determining "reactionary" teachings.

So, why don't you start? List the Muslim majority nations Muslims and non-Muslims enjoy equal rights. I'll then provide my own list of Christian majority nations in reply.

interesting that backspace is using his new identity to reply to a thread he started under a previous alias. Why is that?

Has the 'truth-is-reason' usefulness run out now that he's been called out as a troll by others in this and other threads? He's been banned from other forums for his anti-Muslim posts - such as 'The only time Muslims seek peace is when they need to reload.' and condones extremist Christian and Jewish terrorists.

    See:
    http://www.dubaiforums.com/philosoph...re-t41961.html

He also avoids numerous Biblical confusions he's raised over the years:

You will indeed know a tree by its fruit!!

I suggest we avoid feeding the troll.
