Default Many Scholars Are Misguided and Lead Others Astray

    Allah says:

O you who have believed, indeed many (katheer) of the scholars and the monks devour the wealth of people unjustly and avert from the way of Allah…

Collected in the Sahihayn, from Abu Sa’id al-Khudri who said Allah’s Messenger (s) said:

“You will follow the ways of those who were before you, span by span and cubit by cubit so much so that even if they entered a hole of a lizard, you would follow them.”
"O people! I have left amongst you, that if you cling onto, you will not go astray. The Book of Allah and my Sunnah, live by it!" [Prophets last sermon. Ibn Hazm al-Ahkam 6/108, ibn Hisham sirah #1999]

All sects and groups and the people who follow them are wrong, misguided and confused. Allah says

And indeed this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me. But the people divided their religion among them into sects - each faction, in what it has, rejoicing. So leave them in their confusion for a time.

God has said the same thing in the bible

    "Do not trust in princes,
or in human beings, who cannot deliver!
... How blessed is the one whose helper is the God of Jacob,
whose hope is in the Lord his God," (Psalm 146:3, 5 NET)

Every human sect always claim to be the truth and wants us to trust there teachings.

"But they did not pay attention and were as stubborn as their ancestors, who had not trusted the Lord their God. They rejected his rules, the covenant he had made with their ancestors, and the laws he had commanded them to obey. They paid allegiance to worthless idols, and so became worthless to the Lord. They copied the practices of the surrounding nations in blatant disregard of the Lord’s command." (2 Kings 17:14, 15 NET)

Not only this was in the past but it's also talks about the present (since history is repeating itself)
People have more trust in humans then they do with God. But why is that?
Could it be the scare tatics that humans use to trick people into believing that the leader is some how connected to God? and God uses them as a mouthpiece?
