"fadl" in the context of the verse cited is that they were given/granted certain things. In relation to revelation and the mission of prophets and messengers all had different things to deal with while some others had a bigger role in their circumstances. As Ihsan pointed out the following verse mentions that Moses (pbuh) was spoken to as his support to his mission. Jesus (pbuh) had his miracles and reinforced with the holy spirit for to fulfill his objective. Clearly, there is no issue of superiority. That seems to be from that insatiable human appetite to not only be right but to feel like they have/belong to what is best. We are clearly warned not to be like others who have taken their priests and prophets and exalted them beyond what is spiritually appropriate.

    Al Ma'idah 44 says nothing about deputy-ship.

The word "Nofaruq" means we do not reject some messengers while believing in others
    qatala means he killed

    QATTALA means massacre

did God use FORM 2 of mudaari3 just to convey "means we do not reject some messengers while believing in others" ?
If you or I had the option to pay for our sins by being crucified and dying in a few hours (jesus did not even suffer as much as most of the other folks who were crucified in his day) or suffering eternal hell, it would be a no-brainer. We would choose to be crucified.

Form II of verb could also have slightly different meaning Form I of a verb in addition to adding intensity and repetitive nature of action to the verb. Farraqa means separating things by creating a great distance among them or completely disuniting them. So in that particular Aya it is emphasized that all Prophets brought the same message over and over again, this can also be verified by reading the Quran. I think we should restrict ourselves to understanding what was that core message if we want to benefit.

If one were to say that muhammad (p) is greater than moses (p) then the believers are making a farq between them and they become mutafariqoon

f2 can also have conative meaning

    conative is defined as

used to indicate the effort of the agent in performing the activity described by the verb

    intensive

needing or using great energy or effort

Farraqa means separating things by creating a great distance among them or completely disuniting them
so farraqa can easily be plugged in in the above two definitions.

there are muslims who use great effort to prove how muhammad (p) is greater than all prophets .

    Assalam O Allikum
Allah Almighty says in the Holy Quraan in Surat Surat Al-Mā'idah in verse number 5:1 ....
O you who have believed, fulfill [all] contracts. Lawful for you are the animals of grazing livestock except for that which is recited to you [in this Qur'an] - hunting not being permitted while you are in the state of ihram. Indeed, Allah ordains what He intends.
