Default Is GOD's Spirit rebellious, or just confused?

    JESUS:
    John 14:16,17,23,26 …
“And I will pray (to) the Father,
and He will give you (the believer) another Helper,
that He may abide with you forever -- the Spirit of truth …
… you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be IN you.
… And We will come to him and make Our home with him.
… But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name,
He will TEACH you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.”
The Greek word for “another” is “allos” meaning “another of the same kind”.
    John 16:13 …

“… when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will GUIDE you into all truth …”
    John 20:22 …
“… He breathed on them (His 11 disciples), and said to them, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit.’ ”

    JOHN (Jesus’ most spiritual disciple):
    1 John 3:24 …
“And by this we know that He (God) abides IN us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.”
    1 John 4:13,15 …
“… He has given us of His Spirit.
… Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides IN him”
The Greek word for “abides (in)” means “lives and remains (in), makes one’s home (in), etc.”

PAUL (called to evangelize the Gentiles):
    1 Corinthians 3:16 …
“Do you not know that you (the believer) are the temple of God
and that the Spirit of God dwells IN you?”
    Romans 8:11,14,16 …
“But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells IN you,
(you will also be raised) through His Spirit who dwells IN you.
… For as many as are LED by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
… The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God”
    1 Corinthians 2:13,14 …
“These things we also speak … which the Holy Spirit TEACHES … But the natural
    man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him;
nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”

    An obvious question arises …
God’s previous Scriptures were altered over time, so He produced the Quran
and began His newest true religion (Islam), right?
So, God must have told the Holy Spirit to depart from the born-again Christians
because their religion had become corrupted and worthless, right?
Of course, He can’t blame later Christians for what happened to His Scriptures,
and He can’t allow His Spirit to be teaching false doctrine to the people, right?
But, since the Holy Spirit has NOT LEFT these people, we have 2 possibilities:
    1) God’s Spirit has rebelled, and has just refused to leave.
    2) God’s Spirit is confused, and doesn’t know how to get out of these people.

So what’s your opinion? Is the Holy Spirit rebellious, or just confused?
This has been really bothering me, and I can’t sleep at night, etc.

Following is the updated and expanded version ...

Is God’s Spirit rebellious, or merely confused?

Almighty God orchestrated thousands of years of history to produce the Old Covenant.
He had 2 major purposes for going to all of this trouble:
    1) To prove that man is sinful and is totally incapable of satisfying a totally Holy God.
He chose the Israelites to represent man, and He showed them endless favor,
gave them many anointed prophets, gave them endless opportunities to succeed, etc.
But, they continually rebelled against Him with sin and disobedience.

    2) To develop His plan to save man through His Messiah-Redeemer-Savior.
He chose to bring forth the Messiah through the lineage of the Israelites,
and He presented 330+ Messianic prophecies about Him.

God temprarlly gave up on the Israelites, and He announced the following:
    1) He would leave them in their condition of spiritual blindness (Deut 29:3-4, Isa 6:9-10).
    2) He would disperse them to the 4 corners of the earth (Ezek 12:15).
    3) Years later, He would:
-- gather them from among the nations and bring them back to their land (Ezek 36:24,28).
-- cleanse them from their filthy sin and from their idols (Ezek 36:25).
-- give them a new heart and a new spirit (Ezek 36:26).
-- put His Spirit IN them and cause them to be obedient to Him (Ezek 36:27).
-- give them a new and superior covenant and write it on their hearts (Jer 31:31-34).

Almighty God brought forth His Messiah and produced the New Covenant.
Many verses reveal that God’s Spirit would be placed inside true believers:
“And I (Jesus) will pray (to) the Father, and He will give you (the believer)
another Helper, that He may abide with you forever -- the Spirit of truth …
… you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be IN you.
… And We (God) will come to him (the believer) and make Our home with him.
… But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name,
He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance
all things that I said to you.” (John 14:16-26)

The Greek word for “another” is “allos” meaning “another of the same kind”.
“… know that you (the believer) are the temple of God
and that the Spirit of God dwells IN you” (1 Corinthians 3:16).

Next come “Gabriel”, Mohammed, and the Quran.
Muslims claim that God’s previous Scriptures were altered over time,
so God produced the Quran and began His newest true religion, Islam.
If this was the case, God would have told the Holy Spirit to depart from
Christians because their religion had become corrupted and worthless.
God couldn’t fairly blame them for what had happened previously,
and He couldn’t allow His Holy Spirit to be teaching them false doctrine.

    But, we have a problem.
The Holy Spirit has NOT left these people.
    Therefore, we have 2 possibilities:
    1) God’s Spirit has rebelled, and has refused to leave the Christians.
    2) God’s Spirit is confused, and doesn’t know how to get out of them.

    So what’s your opinion?
