Oops, sorry, that was actually just a chorus of crickets chirping.

So, in a bizarre search for disappointment and despair, I decided to do some web surfing in an effort to find the outrage over events taking place in the islamist hood. I was just looking for some indignation from Real Muslims ™ who represent the true Religion of Peace™”. I figured this would be a great opportunity to put together some sort of outcry to show how much they despise these "extremists" who "hijack" their religion.

Kabul (AsiaNews) – Two Afghans accused of converting to Christianity could face the death penalty, a prosecuting lawyer said on Sunday. Musa Sayed, 45, and Ahmad Shah, 50, are being detained in the Afghan capital awaiting trial, the prosecutor in charge of western Kabul, Din Mohammad Quraishi, said.

“They are accused of conversion to another religion, which is considered a crime under Islamic law. If proved, they face the death penalty or life imprisonment,” Quraishi said. Sayed, a Red Cross (ICRC) employee, has already confessed. There is also "proof" against Shah, Quraishi explained.
Declaring that one is explicitly free to make personal decisions about the religious faith they embrace is a hallmark of Western liberal democracy. It’s also a hallmark of an ethical and moral society that does not compel that all must Kowtow to any specific religion, In the free world, we call forced religion hateful or even totalitarian. In any number of islamist states, simply uttering the phrase “freedom of religion” is dealt with as an imprisonable offense (or even a capital offense, if the right people get their hands on you).

In an environment where islamism is mandated by law; where the social and political constructs are Islamic to the exclusion of other religions; where there is societal exclusion for not embracing islam and those not embracing the state religion are ostracized, it’s pretty easy to understand that compulsion is the weapon of choice for forced religion.
