Empty posturing. Not worth reacting to other than calmly and cooly stating that they are burning something that is of symbolic significance to muslims. This should be done without the usual angry sloganeering or carrying shariah-placards.
1.4 billion people live under the poverty line - 1.25 USD per day. 20000 Africans die needlessly everyday due to AIDS, malaria and TB. 1.02 billion people do not have enough to eat. 3/4s of this are rural poor farmers who will also bear the brunt of global warming.

Pure Ignorance. Instead of burning it, they should read it and educate themselves.

    Waliakum Salaam.

It is best to ignore this. I believe the pastor is seeking attention or hoping to increase his popularity.

This sort of hate if taken positively is actually publicity for the very book these people are burning and it will be read more now by people who never even knew of it or bothered to read it.

I would expect a true Muslim to remain peaceful and calm. We have a right to a peaceful show of our views on this matter which should be made to the American government. In the event no action is taken and the pastor goes ahead with it, then we should let the matter rest in the hands of Allah. I know I state this after the matter has resolved, but we must conduct ourselves in the true spirit and essence expected from a true Muslim

Caliph Uthman burned all the original Qurans he could get his hands shortly after Muhammad's death. The Qurans Muslims have and use today are his recompilation of Muhammad's recitations. Was he disrespectful to have burned them? I would love to have all the copies he burned to go through them to see what was different about them and the ones Muslims have today after he edited them. Just think Uthman was no prophet, and he acted as Allah's/Muhammad's editor.

But there was never a Christian Uthman to burn all the original manuscripts we have copies of; so, if one doesn't like an interpretation or a certain translation and version of the Bible, they have the option of learning Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek to come to their own conclusion, but this is something that cannot be done with the original Qurans when the evidence was destroyed .

Finally, I don't know what your talking about when you say "Christ-ISM By-Bill" nor do I care about it!

the principle difference is the intention behind the action. What is the intention the pastor has behind burning the claimed to be holy scripture by people of a faith. In your opinion the actions of the Christian religious pastor are justified?

Justified or not is wrong way to look at it, since to likes of him it is justified and you can keep arguing whether truly it is not justified or not just puts the communication in wrong direction.

Muslim community should handle this maturely and intelligently but muslim community is in a long for that. It requires education and building up society.

Seems unrelated but it seems related to me: http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/...97S10W20130829

As for the pastor, seems like he is taking people in wrong direction it will rile-up both christians and muslims against each other but not sure anything can be done about it though.
