Hello. My name is Linda. As I mentioned in my profile, I am Christian born. My father became a Baptist preacher when I was 9 years of age. I married a Muslim in 1985 and converted to Islam in 1998. And my faith in Islam and so-called Muslims that I looked up to is crumbling. I really need to get a jolt to get me back on track. So many other religions seem to be much more appealing to me these days. I feel so refined, so restricted......

Welcome to our humble forum. I hope your stay will be pleasant and illuminating.

It is sadly true what you say. Perhaps you're not specifically saying it outright, but I'm able to infer a couple of things from your mention of "so-called Muslims". Many Muslims are muslims in name only. You say you have a christian background. Christians see the character traits and qualities of Jesus(pbuh) as the noblest of qualities. In Islam, among the 99 names of Allah(swt) are the Compassionate, the Clement and the Patient. Surely, these things are worthy of pursuit in our own selves.

Anyways, I'm rambling. Again, I bid you a warm welcome to our humble corner of the cyberspace. Please feel free to partake in the conversations. I feel we can learn a lot from you.
