In my very humble opinion the significance of Bait Ullah or the House of God is that Allah has called it His House on this Earth. That is what makes it special. It is the importance, love and belonging it holds in the hearts of all true Muslims. Otherwise it is a cuboid building made of rock and stone enshrouded in a black covering called Kiswa.

It is not the most beautiful of consturctions but it is its religious and historical importance that makes it the most important, divine and respected place in the hearts of all true Muslims.

Im not sure, but i've read the same statement from Umar RA.

The same thing said by my Mother (a)

:wsalam: sister Farrah

Yeah, people usually had no idea about the size because they watch it on tv.But when you look at the the close-up of Kaaba, you will see that people around Kaaba are looking very small.Read this.

:startqt: The Size of the Kaaba:

The current height of the Kaaba is 39 feet, 6 inches and total size comes to 627 square feet.

The inside room of the Kaaba is 42.64x29.52 feet. The Kaaba's walls are one 3.28 feet wide. The floor inside is 7.22 feet higher than the place where people perform Tawaf.

The ceiling and roof are two levels made out of wood. They were reconstructed with teak which is capped with stainless steel.

The walls are all made of stone. The stones inside are unpolished, while the ones outside are polished.

This small building has been constructed and reconstructed by Prophets Adam, Ibrahim, Ismail and Muhammad (peace be upon them). No other building has had this honor. :endqt:

To Majnu, Layla was beautiful... To everybody else, not so. It is the heart that sees beauty.

I was not aware that the arabs were driving cars between Safaa and Marwah. They are supposed to walk and run in certain places. It defies belief that a dry place like Makkah would not only have rain but flood.

Floods cause tremendous chaos. Cars will float all over the place, sometimes to where we least suspect them.

many thanks bro Ron for the clarification. My response was not serious but in keeping with an acquired SOH.
