I recommend reading the available books that are easily downloadable
at the Islamic Law infobase

On IlmWeb at http://www.islamic-finance.net/ then click link IslamicFiqh.Com

In particular the books regarding Outlines of Islamic Jurisprudence
and Theories of Islamic Law: The Methodology of Ijtihad

This is a very good resource of scholarly work.

I look forward to discussing the views and opinions formulated after its digestion.

This is a website under IBF NET umbrella: The Islamic Banking & Finance Network is a great resource on alternative financing, where many years ago I had the pleasure of being under brief tutorage of Dr Mohammed Obaidullah.

I highly recommend the netversity program.

As Salamu Alaykum

Dr. Nyazee translated both volumes of Maliki jurist Ibn Rushd's book on comparative fiqh called Bidayat al Mujtahid into English. You can pretty much get it anywhere online whether it be Amazon or islamic bookstores like islamicbookstore.com He also translated an abridged version of the Hanafi fiqh manual Al Hidayah into two volumes. The first volume is unabridged but the second is abridged.

the shaykh is an extremely knowledgeable usooli in my opinion. I have all of his works including his translation of the Bidatul-Mujtahid. The project for which its translation commenced utilized the best person to translate it.

I believe he is hanafi.

I also credit him for his contribution in bridging the gap between the shariah and bringing it to light in comparison with modern day legislation to the average person.

One of the issues i have been dealing with for some time now is the issue with regards to rights, human rights that is, and his articulation regarding the actual nature of rights and the monstrous lie that has enveloped the western world with regards to its reality.

asalamu alaikum
