Namaz!!!!

Guys i want to know that when praying with jamat ,and when the immam is saying "alhamdulila" and any "sourat" after that do we also have to read ours or just need to listen 2 him??? immam only says it in fajar,maghrib,esha...

Salam,

The Shariah has not given a ruling in this matter and therefore it is left to the individual to decide. Personally, I would follow the way of Imam Malik, Imam Ibn Taymiyyah and Imam Ahmad (may Allah shower His mercy on them). They felt that one should listen to the recitation during the Prayers when it is read out loud by the Imam (Fajr, Maghrib and Isha) and read when the imam remains silent (Zuhr and Asr). In my opinion it makes sense to listen when someone is reciting the Qur’an rather than reciting in between. But as I said, the Sahriah has given no ruling in this matter.

v have to listen when imam recites and read when he is quiet
