Abu Dawud: Book 19, Number 2996:
Narrated Muhayyisah:
"The Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him) said: If you gain a victory over the men of Jews, kill them. So Muhayyisah jumped over Shubaybah, a man of the Jewish merchants. He had close relations with them. He then killed him. At that time Huwayyisah (brother of Muhayyisah) had not embraced Islam. He was older than Muhayyisah. When he killed him, Huwayyisah beat him and said: O enemy of Allah, I swear by Allah, you have a good deal of fat in your belly from his property."

On Islam hate site has this hadith to try to falsify Islam. Could Ronnie or any other scholar please explain the context of this hadith?

Triple H,

I'm sorry I had to edit your topic title, but I'd prefer that individual's names be kept out of the titles. As for the answer to this, if you want a scholarly opinion then post it on the home page. That would be better, my capacity here is not to answer questions but to join the dialogs.

Also, if I may give you a piece of advice, I hope you don't take it to offence, but I suggest you spend less time on Islam-hating websites. They really don't do anything for your spiritual growth or understanding of Islam. Your knowledge of the basics and a profound spiritual relationship with your Creator will then help you develop a better understanding of all these "questions" you find.

Regards

Ok I'll try to get it on the main page. The questions open up every day right?

I understand what you say about the Islam hating websites thing. However, if one is to truly understand Islam they should also try to understand what people who try to falsify Islam think. Not only will this help you to become a better Muslim, but it will also help you if you were to ever engage in a debate with a missionary. People trying to convert you to Christianity are everywhere. On these Islam hating websites it's incredibly easy to see right through their tactics and they are easily rebutted 99.9% of the time even by me. Once you have a moderate to somwhat advanced understanding of Islam the tactics they use become almost laughable. They truly are trying to corrupt those with little knowlede of Islam, whether they be Muslims or non-Muslims. Whoever is corrupted by them is at fault for themselves because they did not actually study the issue and come to a conclusion for themselves. If Ronnie, you as a Muslim see the tactics employed by these websites, and they are easily rebutted, does that not strengthen your faith? If the other sides argument is weak to falsify your faith in Islam then it can only strengthen it. I am just trying to understand some select stuff they try and point out which my knowledge does not have the answer to. I'll try to put this on the front page question area.

Triple H,

I do really appreciate your honesty. I can also see your point regarding these sites (it is quite funny on many occassions). The home page is open for questions everyday, for a limited number of questions (don't ask how many). So get your question in, God willing you will be satisfied and understand the issue better. I am happy that you are in the process of learning, I really appreciate those that put such effort in wanting to know the Truth. I congratulate you.

Best wishes.
