I want to share my opinion about the crisis in Iraq.
As a muslim, I think we must unite although we are from different mazhab (I don't know the word in English) Hanafi, Shafie or Syiah.
I feel ashame when almost all the Arabian country help the US troops when they attack Iraq. WE MUST UNITE. STOP THE US. They said they want to find the terrorist. Actually, THEY WANT TO KILL MUSLIM. Firstly, they attack Afghanistan, to find Osama bin Laden, after they don't find Osama, they attack Iraq for their oil. After this, Syria then...... STOP THE US TERROR.. ALLAHUAKBAR.........

Salam ajib85,

while i do not speak for the American government, i can speak for myself.

there is no plan to kill Muslims simply becuase they are Muslims. i realize that this type of reheortic is very popular in various parts of the world however it simply lacks any foundation, from my perspective.

i suppose that it's possible that there is a secret government plan to eliminate the Islamic faith, however even saying those words sounds absurd, let alone contemplating doing so. in my opinion, even if someone wanted to do such a thing, it would be impossible. but just because i think it's absurd doesn't mean that someone isn't trying to make it happen.

in my opinion, this is a form of nationalism that has led to an extremist attitude in many parts of the american society. like most people in the world, americans are fearful of change and things that disrupt the social order. my honest opinion is that if we could dispense with the various governments and political institutions and simply let the people "be", we'd be able to live in harmony with one another. of course, extremism is not restricted to any one people or faith, it's rampant around the globe, as unfortunate as that is.

in my cynical view, i don't think that Syria is going to be next.. i think that N. Korea will be.

we, as a entire species, find ourselves in a different world than existed even as little as 20 years ago. many things are changing and some not for the better. of course, change is part and parcel with life and our only recourse is to flow with the changes or be subsumed by them.

even though we are in the 21st century, the habitual patterns of behavor that were practiced by our forefathers is still being carried out. we can stop the cycle of violence and hatred, it is possible though it will not be easy.

but ajib85 is so right.

I have strong belief that American People, including GWB are not anti-muslim.

But GWB's masters are.

They want to remove any threat, however small, against Israel. However, it can only be done by "destroying" those Islamic countries which have some power and will left to remind the world, that Israel was created, by force, by taking away Palestinian Land.

Namaste all,

thank you for your post sadlyyours.

not to be trite, however people do not "own" the earth :) this is a very mistaken notion to be deluded by and it is bound to give rise to all sorts of unhealthy emotions.

if anyone or anything could lay claim to the earth, it could only be God. leaving aside the rehortic of the "promised land" and the various things therein is probably not possible whilst everyone insists that only their view is correct.

we live in a new reality and as such, we need new ideas to create change and peace in our world.

i, for one, simply refuse to believe that an amicable solution cannot be worked out. people are amazingly adaptable creatures and if given a chance, would prefer to live in peace and harmony with one another.

there was a time, in history, where those areas of the world were called by different names and inhabited by different people. this we all know. we, as a whole, need to understand that things change and we cannot simply "stick our heads in the sand" (pardon the analogy) and hope that things will work themselves out or return to the way that they were.

if there was an easy solution, i'm convinced it would have been tried by now. it seems like many difficult solutions are being tried and prosposed however, in my humble opinion, we need something new. not the same old ideas rehashed and represented...it will take something completely new and radical to accomplish lasting peace.

as hard as it is, it is possible though consistent non-violent efforts to effect change in our world.

as salam alikum
i think all the muslims who have some consideration for the pain of other muslims have the same feeling as yours
as i am sitting and writting this i can only voice my sympathies through but very often i feel that is this any good
i agree with u absolutely
its a shame to see arab muslim nations supporting amerca
they are only bothered about their profits and selfish vested interest
it just proves one thing that the one who has power can do any thing and yet go free
why forget that allah has all the powers and when he will then no bush can do anything
i came across that all these problems that muslims are facing are due to their amaals / deeds
the muslims are just muslims for namesake
are we abiding to what allah has asked us to do we follow what the prophet told us to do we abide by the guidelines of quran
time has come to reform ourselves for our own benifit not for anybody we have to hold the rope of allah with complete grip
i think bush is the BIGGEST TERRORIST OF THIS WORLD if nothing happens to him now dnt worry allah will never forgive him and sure he has a confirmed citizenship of hell
wassalam
