Atheists of Jahiliyah and atheists of today are of different breed and of different times. The Jahiliyah atheists were understandably ignorant, materialistic and hedonistic, believing that there's no one to stop them not even themselves, to accumulate as much wealth and pleasure on earth as possible in even the shortest of lives. Today's atheists are born from the disillusionment with the Church, it's dogma and how it executes that dogma. Today's atheists believe that all religions are a lie, that it's nothing but a "lie" to move masses into what they consider either chaos or repression. They believe that "evertyhing that is here and there are proof enough". While I understand why today's atheists disbelieve in God, what irks me more is how dare they consider Islam as "that violent, backward, misogynistic religion".

So, how do we engage debates with these atheists? How do prove our faith in what Islam stands for to them, without being labeled "fundamentalists" "apologetics" and "fanatics".
