A'salam,

If anyone at this forum has converted to Islam we would love to read your story. It may be inspiring for some and reinforcing for others. In reality you may never know the (positive) impact of your story upon others. I hope to read some soon.

If I ever stop converting to Islam I will jot down my story. It doesn't stop with the Shahada, and it doesn't begin there, either.
I vote for the classic - Malcolm X's conversion.
His biography has everything in it. Bad living, regrets, finding a better life, being misled, being led astray, finding a way to the true Path, facing discrimination for broadcasting the truth. Let's not forget his murder -that could have been martyrdom- truely Allah ta'ala knows best.

I have heard and seen many people convert into Islam and u know what they say??
"This is the beginning of my life".

Converting into Islam is one of the BEST things u can do bec:
ALL ur sins are washed away- its like as if u r a newborn baby.
Who wouldnt want all the sins to be washed away???? If there was in Islam that u could do a ritual every year to wash away ur sins...i would be the first(to wash away my mistakes)bec every muslim has done something that they wish they could go back in time and 'repair'...

Daily repentance washes away your sins. Also, I understand that performing Hajj purifies you of all your sins and you become as sinless as a new born. I've provided one hadith to support this but there maybe more sources:

Abu Hurairah narrates: I heard the Prophet say, “Whoever performs Hajj and does not commit any Rafath (obscenity) or Fusooq (transgression), he returns (free from sin) as the day his mother bore him” (Sahih Bukhari).

Allah knows best.
