Did u know....

<<>>In Islam, it is prohibited to paint or draw a picture about humans or any other living objects. If one does this, God will ask him to make the painting come alive, which is not possible by humans...so if anyone is an artist by profession and paints humans or living beings- stop right now.

<<>> In Islam, it is prohibited for women to use hair extensions or tie their hair up in a ponytail which looks like a camel's hump. One of the female demons have their hair up like a camel's hump and uses it for bad purposes.

<<>> In Islam, never wear silk for prayers. The Prophet (PBUH) refused to accept a silk cloth given to him for prayer.

<<>> In Islam, it is not good to cry for a dead person after 3 days.

<<>> In Islam, music is prohibited to such an extent that if it inteferes with a Muslim's call for prayer or duty in Islam, only then is it prohibited.

<<>> Divorce is the WORST sin in the eyes of Allah.

<<>> In Islam, it is prohibited to keep dogs as pets. It is allowed to keep dogs for gaurding sheeps from wolves. (This was said for people who have farms and sheeps).

A'salam,

Do you have any of the supporting evidence to all these claims. Although I've heard some I'd like to know where this information exists. Would you please provide it.

Thank you. Would you mind citing the hadith. As already understood that none of these came from the Qur'an.

Is there anything in the Qur'an about "it is prohibited to paint or draw a picture about humans or any other living objects. If one does this, God will ask him to make the painting come alive, which is not possible by humans." IF so, could you please tell me where?

A'salam,

Neena

There is absolutely no basis for the idea that painting a picture is forbidden in the Qur'an. There's no foundation whatsoever to even hint that God would make a person draw a picture then ask the person to bring it to life. That's absolute nonsense and is not supported by the Qur'an. First of all would God force you to do something He has made a sin? Or would God ask you something of you which He and you both know are unable to do? Neena, please understand I'm not being harsh with you at all. I actually appreciate your curiosity about Islam. I'm just clarifying, with firmness, that what Crimson has posted is not validated upon the Qur'anic teachings. I hope that you keep asking questions. There are a lot of intelligent people here at this forum and they'll be happy to reply. I for one am eager to help you in any way I can.

Dear Ronnie,

You ALWAYS seem to make my posts look like NONSENSE. I don't understand why you have a grudge against me.
While replying to Neena u said "God would not allow a person to make a painting and then put life into it".
Before saying such a thing, TRY to read what i said. "Those who paint pictures of people, to those will Allah tell them to put life into (bec painting pics of people is PROHIBITED) on JUDGEMENT DAY. God does not FORCE a person to draw a picture and then put life into it. I never even said it this way. There are many artists who practice the art of drawing humans....it is prohibited in islam...that is what i said. i didnt say "god forces a human to draw and then put life into it".

You wanted the place where i got the information from...HERE IT IS,...

<><>ABOUT DOGS: According to Quran and Sunnah Hadith - Bukhari 3:515, Narrated Abu Huraira Allah's Apostle PBUH said, "Whoever keeps a dog, one Qirat of the reward of his good deeds is deducted daily, unless the dog is used for guarding a farm or cattle." Abu Huraira (in another narration) said from the Prophet, "unless it is used for guarding sheep or farms, or for hunting." Narrated Abu Hazim from Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "A dog for guarding cattle or for hunting."

<><>ABOUT PAINTING PICS: Hadith - Bukhari 3:428, Narrated Said bin Abu Al-Hasan .
Ibn 'Abbas said, "I will tell you only what I heard from Allah's Apostle PBUH. I heard him saying, 'Whoever makes a picture will be punished by Allah till he puts life in it, and he will never be able to put life in it.' " Hearing this, that man heaved a sigh and his face turned pale. Ibn 'Abbas said to him, "What a pity! If you insist on making pictures I advise you to make pictures of trees and any other unanimated objects."

<><>ABOUT HAIR OF WOMEN: Hadith - Bukhari 7:133, Narrated 'Aisha , see also Bukhari 7:818

An Ansari woman gave her daughter in marriage and the hair of the latter started falling out. The Ansari women came to the Prophet PBUH and mentioned that to him and said, "Her (my daughter's) husband suggested that I should let her wear false hair." The Prophet PBUH said, "No, (don't do that) for Allah sends His curses upon such ladies who lengthen their hair artificially."

Hadith - Sahih Muslim, #6840, Narrated Abu Hurayrah

Allah's Apostle PBUH said: There are two types, amongst the denizens of Hell, I have yet not seen them. One possessing whips like the tail of an ox and they flog people with them. (The second one) the women who would be naked in spite of their being dressed, who are seduced (to wrong paths) and seduce others with their hair high like humps. These women would not get into Paradise and they would not perceive the odour of Paradise, although its fragrance can be perceived from such and such distance (from great distance).

<<>>ABOUT CRYING FOR THE DEAD: Those present and the relatives of the deceased are allowed to cry for a maximum period of three (3) days.

Abdullah ibn Ja'far narrated that the Prophet (SAW) delayed coming to visit Ja'far's family 'for three days after his death',then he came to them and said, "Do not cry for my brother after today." [Dawud,vol.3,p.1165,#4180]

A'salam,

Hello Crimson

Please Crimson understand that I have no grudge against you. As I said before I don't know you. Whenever you post something I'm not offended by it but if I don't agree with your point of view then I answer. There no hard feelings coming from me towards you. I don't understand why you are so sensitive and you think every chance I get I try to belittle you. It's just not true.

Now, I apologize because I misquoted your sentence about God asking those who paint pictures to put life into them. I stand corrected. This does not mean I've backed away from the root of my argument. Neena was asking if there were prohibitions in the Qur'an and I answered her in the negative. You would agree these these points that you've made are for the most part not supported by the Qur'an? For instance you wrote "Divorce is the WORST sin in the eyes of Allah." How could you believe that knowing that Shirk (attributing/associating partners with God) is the "WORST" sin according to the Qur'an?

I don't know what it is about my writing that rubs you the wrong way but I hope you understand I have nothing against you. As I often repeat we are ALL here to learn from one another. Again, I apologize if I caused any hurt feelings.

Thank you for citing your work, I've been checking out the website link you posted.

By the way I would appreciate if you would check out some of the articles I've posted. I would like to hear from you whether your opinion still stands or changed in reference to your above "DID U KNOW" points that you made.

Wa'salam
