Original Sin is:
A. Dis-obedience
B. Sex
C. Judgement of "good" and "evil"
D. Other...
THE FUNDAMENTAL FLAW
Most Christians were taught that Original Sin means "You MUST OBEY GOD". The real meaning (forgiveness) is obscured.
But REALLY Original SIN is defined as "eating... the knowledge of good and evil".
Doesn't that mean that The U.S. Government is comitting Original Sin when they label people (places or things) as "evil"? Yes. But they weren't taught this way. So they are not responsible for their "sin".
If Christians don't understand the Fundamental teaching of Jesus, the world is in BIG Trouble! (I think Muslims have a similar problem...)
WHen Jesus said: "...Forgive them for they know not what they do" he gave us an EXAMPLE to follow. If we follow His example, we overcome original sin.
We're not forgiven unless we forgive because it is US who are condemning ourselves. (Reincarnation may very well turn out to be a reality. It's so obvious when you think about it...)
I sort of knew this all along. I just didn't realize how important it is. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT to understand the CORNER STONE of Christianity and Islam.
NOTHING is MORE IMPORTANT!

PS My wife is from central Java. Christians and Muslims live together in harmony there. (We plan to move there soon.) It's the (few) extremists that cause the problems.
Fortunately, most people are sensible enough to see the truth.
