I saw an interesting programm on Discovery yesterday that showed that every human becomes female if the hormone testosterone lacks! even if you have an XY chromosome!
There was one woman who had XY chromosomes but she had a disease that made her body not responsive to the testosterone hormone (immune you could say) but without oestrogene the ovaries wont develope, so she was looking as a female, also had the female gender but she didnt have ovaries! man freaking weird.
All embryos are first developed with gonads that are not specific. Depending on testosterone levels in the developing fetus, the gonads with become testes or ovaries. In embryos with an XX chromosome combination, the resulting fetus will normally develop as female – due to a lack of testosterone, which is produced only when there is an XY combination. Without sufficient testosterone, testes do not form and the ovaries develop by default. In XY embryos, testosterone is secreted and the male genitalia develop and the female genitalia do not.
Anyways I'm not sure what the Qu'ran says but the Bible says that Eva is made from Adams rib, but thats actually wrong, Adam is made from Eva's rib since the default design is woman.

That's really weird. I had never heard any of that before. So let me get this straight, you said that if a woman loses the horomone testoterone she can turn into male? Wow. It is amazing how even when she has XY chromosomes that she can still turn into male. Has that ever happend before to anyone else? I guess these types of things can actually happen when a woman is bearing a child inside of her.

Peace All,
Is it that the woman believes she's not a woman or that she is a man? Or is it that her physicality changes? Does she develop the male attributes? What occurs?
Anyways I'm not sure what the Qu'ran says but the Bible says that Eva is made from Adams rib, but thats actually wrong, Adam is made from Eva's rib since the default design is woman.
The Qur'an doesn't say that Eve was created from Adam's rib. However, I don't see how this "scientific fact" relates to the creation of humanity by God? Couldn't God have created humans differently? Or could it be that our understanding is such that we only know part of the truth hence Adam being created first seems wrong?

To explain the story, she was a woman everywhere, simply born as one, but when she was an adult she noticed something wasnt right so she had let herself researched, then they discovered she had XY chromosomes, meaning she was actually male, however she was born with female gender because his body is unsensitive for testosterone. She never knew any better then that she was a female so it was kind of hard on her but anyways she doesnt have ovaries so she cant have kids.
Very early in the development of the human male or female fetus differences in the genitalia cannot be detected, even though the sex chromosomes XX (in most females) and XY (in most males) have put down the basic building blocks. It is hormones produced by the gonads determined by the sex chromosomes that then determine which organs develop and which ones disappear.
Testosterone is responsible for the development of the male body from the androgynous embryo, which will otherwise develop into the female form. If the testosterone receptors in the fetus are not working, or insensitive to the hormone, the development of the normal features of the male body will be incomplete or abnormal, or an intersex human will grow.
My point is, is that the default design is female (without ovaries though cause the ovaries develope because of oestrogene) and that the Y chromosome is like a switch to tell the body to produce testosteron or not, so basically Adam is made from a female design.
They also said some other funny things like if you compare the hand of a female with the hand of a male then you would notice that the finger you point with (we call it wijsvinger wich litterary means pointfinger) is shorter then the ringfinger for the male but the pointfinger of the female is taller then her ringfinger, the difference of length in thos two fingers depends on how much testosterone you had when you were developed..
right, that probably made no sence.. annoying english lol

This is an intersex state and these individuals are called XY females.
Non responsiveness of the body to testosterone could be due to defect in the testosterone receptors or there might be some enzymatic deficiency due to which the testosterone does not function properly and can not develop the male external genitalia and instead female genitalia develop.
At puberty testis produce large amount of testosterone and produces certain changes in the body which force the patient to seek a doctors help and it is where the problem is detected. The testis are there but they are not at their usual place.
There are individuals who are XX genetically but externally they look like males. Both testis and ovaries migt co exist in an individual. All these conditions look strange but they are all well documented in medical books. The discovery channel did not discover them.

Yes indeed its called Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome
http://www.gender.org.uk/about/04embryo/46_mterr.htm
The first condition, affecting XY fetuses, is sometimes referred to as testicular feminisation, but nowadays, more appropriately, Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome. The primitive testicles produce testosterone in the normal way, but the various receptors around the body are insensitive to it.
The baby usually appears to be a girl, is labelled as a girl and she grows up as one. Since the Mullerian inhibiting factor is produced, the ovaries, Fallopian tubes, womb, uterus and upper vagina do not develop. Usually, the first sign that all is not as it should be is that a swelling is found, the partly developed testes, in the abdominal cavity, groin or labia. Sometimes the first sign of trouble is in puberty, with failure to menstruate.
This female in that programm on Discovery was about 19 when she thought something was wrong, she wondered why she had not menstruated yet indeed.
I didn't mean that channel Discovery discovered the discovery though lol, its however an interesting discovery for me, I never knew female ruled hehe

Now without going into pre-assumptions on machoness..
Ive always pondered on why paradise was not enough for Adam without Eve?
