Assalamu alaikum
Peace
There are a few smileys which I feel are inappropriate and should be removed, mainly the dancing ones. Can someone please remove them.

My apologies for this late reply, I forgot I was a member here...
This forum is propagating a better understanding of Islam, MashaAllah
So I think these (dancing) smileys are innapropriate as they are encouraing an act which is frowned upon and indeed not Permitted.
I dont wish to make a big issue out of this, as this forum is doing alot of good and I had alot of respect for the members as well as the admins who have helped make this forum what it is.

Assalam alaikum,
No. Don't stop posting on this forum. You know all know that dancing is unislamic. So why not replace those dancing (unislamic) smileys with islamic smileys?

Is all dancing prohibited? I thought it was only dancing with the opposite sex that was haraam...
I'm confused because I don't remember seeing any dancing mixed couples in the smileys. There's that dancing banana, a little ballerina, and that ridiculous shuffling 'blues brothers' smiley...is that what's under discussion? I don't get it...I'd rather see that than the 'puke on you' smileys. :lpukey: Talk about unislamic manners!
It could be there's some really awful unmarried dirty-dancing smiley couples, and I may have missed them because my browser usually crashes before I can load them all. :( If that's the case, then I'm all for pulling the plug before they can commit zina.

Salaam,
OK, so it's the 'parody of pop singers' smileys that we want to eradicate?
Personally I find them unappealing, but then I don't think I've ever seen anyone else on the forum ever use one either.
But what has me confused is: why don't you like the happy little cheering smiley, and why did you put the lady stepping on the scale in with the singers? Is it because islamically you don't think we should encourage dieting?
Now if it's just a matter of getting rid of smileys we personally don't like, then I vote for this one: :monkey: He's foolish, highly annoying and begging for a tranqulizer dart.

"He's foolish, highly annoying and begging for a tranqulizer dart." LMAO:
Anyway, I want these removed:
:BDSM: :knifehead
And smilies page needs to be divided up in multiple pages, it lags my window.

You know, if you have a problem with any smilies, you could just choose not to use them.

Assalam alaikum,
We rather thought that Islam had a problem with the smileys and it would please Allah if we removed them from an islamic forum. However, if that is not the case then I do apologise. Still, if something is doubtful in Islam, we avoid it, do we not? :brow:

Did brother Farhan really leave the forum because of the smileys? :(
It might be a good idea to remove the controversial smileys, especially since no one ever uses them, because there's too many smileys for my 'puter to load and it crashes my browser. I think other people are having the same problem, too.

Im sorry, Osman persuaded me to come back to post on this forum,
No I did not leave because of the smileys, I left because of the attitude of some of the members, alhamdulillah most of you have been kind, but I do not appreciate being reffered to as a "fanatic".

if you click "more"....some of those smiley's are offensive and not appropriate for an islamic forum.
I also vote for them to be taken away. (the offensive ones)
