This is Jawad. Insearch of true direction under guidance of Islam. the true relegion.
Unfortunately most of us are concerned about to read the relegion and Holy Quran instead of following it. Most of forget the basis of the foundation of Islam. It certainly starts from Honesty, Responsibility and Human Rights. The Prayers, The deeds, the Acts, all are in vain, if there is no honesty in life, no responsibility, and no weightage to human being, being created by Almighty Allah. Allah love human. You love human, take care of them. Allah will love you and take care of you...

Salaam Jawad and welcome to the forum. I hope you enjoy your stay on the forum. You have started with a very serious and sensitive aspect concerning Muslims of today. My question remains every one can present the diagnosis but what is the cure?

The cure is simple enough.
One: Restore the infallible authority of the Quran and make the authority of men subservient to the Quran.
Two: Restore the authority of all men including that of the prophet Mohammad to its original fallibility meaning in effect that they are to be followed but must remain subservient to the Quran.
The real problem in our religion is that the interpretation of the learned men of Islam including that of the prophet have taken an infallible aura and as a result they have been given an infallible authority that was meant only for the Quran. Now these interpretations (Ijtihad and ijma) of the yesterdays cannot be updated because of the infallible stamp designated upon them. It is due to these ancient definitions (that cannot be updated on account of their perceived infallibility) that our societies have become so rigid and inflexible to change. The word of God is infallible and the word of men is fallible it is as simple as that. These definitions are and were always fallible in nature and must be updated to incorporate change that has happened since then. This in simple words is the problem and the cure for it.

Zees,
You still seem to be confusing and complicating matters when it is unnecessary. Ahadith are not the Prophet (pbuh). Ahadith are not infallible. Ijtihad and Ijmaa' are not infallible.

Ron,
woud you care to explain/direct me to the answer, as to why ijmaa' is not infallible? especially since theres a saying where the prophet said that this ummah would never have consensus on something wrong?

The hadith that you quote actually rebuts your point. It shows that in the vast ocean of Muslims there will be disagreements but all will not agree on something wrong. I don't know how you interpreted that to mean that consensus is infallible.
I have not forgotten your PM I will insha'Allah respond.

The hadith, IMO, isn't even referring to scholarly disagreements. The natural meaning is that ummah of Muhammad (S) will always have people who will abide and stick to the truth, irrespective of numbers.
